Jeff Baud is winner of the international composition competition of the Brussels Jazz Orchestra in 2013. He leads a career as trumpet player, composer, arranger and professor. He experience, as well as his personality have led him to perform with artists such as Chris Potter, Didier Lockwood, Claudio Roditi, Bob Mintzer, Birelli Lagrène, Eddie Daniels, Fred Wesley, Hervé Sellin, Pierre Drevet, Bert Joris, François Janneau, Denis Leloup and Glenn Ferris. In 2011, he founded the project Illegal Groove and has been a member of the ŒUF bigband in Lyon for 12 years. He has also performed with the group ElectroDeluxe in some of the most prestigious international jazz festivals. Having studied harmony, counterpoint, fugue, orchestration, arrangement, Jeff Baud is winner of the an award for jazz and improvised music from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris. He is currently Professor at the HEMU in Lausanne (University of Music), as well as the EJMA.
